The Padre Pio Legacy Society
HONORING THOSE WHO HAVE MADE PLANNED GIFTS TO THE CAPUCHIN FRANCISCANS

Born into a devout Roman Catholic family, Padre Pio consecrated himself to Jesus at age 5. At age 15, he joined the Capuchin order and in 1910, the year in which he became a priest, he received the stigmata. He was noted for his charity and holiness and was canonized in 2002 by Pope John Paul II.

The Padre Pio Legacy Society was established to honor all those who have taken the special step of including The Capuchin Franciscan Foundation for Retired Friars in their long-term plans through life income, bequest, and other estate and planned gifts. A legacy gift ensures the work of the Capuchins can continue for generations to come.

Benefits to Members:

  • Mass said annually for members on September 23, the Feast of Padre Pio
  • An annual private mass and breakfast with the Capuchins
  • Recognition in our annual fund mailing
  • Receive a special gift in honor of Padre Pio’s intercession for the Capuchins and its supporters
  • Regularly remembered in the masses and prayers of the Capuchins
