Padre Pio and the Child Jesus

Padre Pio and the Child Jesus

Padre Pio had a sincere love for the Child Jesus. This love appears often in the Christmas letters he sent to the people he guided. His writing was usually brief and prayerful, and he offered simple blessings during the Christmas season.

Many of these notes asked the Infant Jesus to bring peace, grace, and care to the person receiving the letter. Some of the lines he wrote include:

“May the Child Jesus be your guide.”

“May the Child Jesus smile on you and grant you the tenderness of His love.”

“May the Divine Infant bring you peace and holy joy.”

These blessings come from different letters, and each one reflects his devotion to the Child Jesus. His words point to the nearness of God at Christmas and the quiet way grace can enter a person’s life.

Padre Pio often prayed before a small statue of the Infant Jesus during this season, which shows how central this devotion was for him. His letters continue to offer a simple reminder to draw close to Christ in the same way.
