We recently concluded an inspiring Come and See Retreat, held from June 28-30 in the serene setting of Santa Ynez, CA. This retreat was a significant event for the Capuchin Franciscan Friars, as we had the privilege of welcoming four incredible men who are discerning God’s will for their lives.
These men joined us with the intention of exploring a potential calling to religious life and/or the priesthood. Over the course of a few days, they immersed themselves in the daily life of a Capuchin Franciscan friar, participating in our prayers, Mass, ministry, and experiencing the profound sense of fraternal brotherhood that defines our community.
The retreat provided these men with a firsthand understanding of what it means to live as a Capuchin Franciscan. They engaged in meaningful conversations, shared their spiritual journeys, and gained insight into the joys and challenges of our way of life. It was a time of reflection, discernment, and deepening faith for everyone involved.
We ask that you keep these discerning men in your prayers as they continue to seek God’s guidance for their future. Your prayers and support are essential as they navigate this significant decision in their spiritual journey.
