Protecting God’s Children

The Capuchin Franciscan of Our Lady of Angels Province is committed to ensuring the safety and protecting of children and vulnerable adults.
The Province is accredited by Praesdium, Inc. an organization providing risk management assessment, consultation, policy development and training materials for the prevention of sexual misconduct and appropriate response to allegations.
The Province is regularly updated and audited by Praesidium, Inc. to ensure the Province’s adherence to the standards set forth by the Conference of the Major Superiors of Men – CMSM. The Province’s most recent Preasidium audit and update was completed in 2019 and was re-accredited for another 5 years.
If you suspect any violations, we urge you to contact the Provincial Victim’s Assistance Coordinator Angelica Jochim immediately by calling: 1-800-678-7943

As the Victim Assistance Coordinator for the Capuchin Franciscan Western America Province, I want you to know that your contact is very important to me. I have learned over the years from survivors that it takes a great deal of courage for a person who has experienced abuse by a Religious to reach out, either to make an abuse report or to ask for assistance of any kind.

A little about my background: I am an independent lay psychotherapist in private practice in Sonoma County, CA. Since 2019 I have also served as the victim assistance coordinator in the Office of Pastoral Outreach for the Capuchin Franciscan Western America Province. I am here to advocate for and assist those who have been sexually abused by anyone serving in the Province ministry. This includes family members who have been secondarily affected.

Now that you have taken this first step, I encourage you to call my toll free number and leave a message for me on my confidential line. I will return your call within one day. If you prefer to email me, you are welcome to contact me that way. Whichever way you choose to reach out, I hope that you do. It is my genuine hope that I will have the opportunity to support your healing.

Angelica Jochim, MFT
